Lyrics
Best Days On Earth
Gary Will Kreie
[Verse 1]
Summer camp, we were young
Crazy kids all skinny and tan
We were just discovering love
Surprised you when I reached for your hand
Touching, talking, lying in the grass
No one told us summer loves don’t last
[Chorus 1]
Now I find you, in this world again
I see you on a crowded street. You say you remember my grin
Take us back where we were, swimming in that moonlit lake
Bringing back our best days on earth
[Verse 2]
I am good, you look great
Find a place for coffee and rolls
Make small talk, catch each other up to date
Chatting for an hour or so
We laugh and say “you haven’t changed a bit”
And wonder of the love we might have missed
[Chorus 2]
Now I find you, in this world again
I see you on a crowded street. You say you remember my grin
Take us back where we were. First kiss on that shady trail
Bringing back our best days on earth
[Bridge]
Your eyes beautiful brown
Couldn’t look away then. Can’t look away now
Reminded us when
I’d tell you silly jokes to make you laugh, or sometimes pretend
[Chorus 3]
Now I find you, in this world again
I see you on a crowded street. You say you remember my grin
As we head for the door, you take my hand like summer camp
Bringing back our best days on earth
